Here's an LA Times article from 2009 on the El Sereno's 25 year long commitment to keeping the Elephant Hill area free of big development. Thanks to the City of Los Angeles and a strong community effort for protecting a rare open space. What will the park look like? Will it stay untouched as it is? We'll see. It's in good hands now with Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy.
I showed the property a couple nights ago and had never been there in the evening. What amazing views with the city lights twinkling. I also realized how quiet it is up here. You are truly in nature. A different experience for being in the city. I'll take some video and images the next time I'm up there in the evening.
